Dr. Raphael Olarewaju founded Mother and Child Hospitals in 1996 and served as the Medical Director/CEO of the hospital for 24 years. He is a Consultant in the field of Obstetrics & Gynecology and holds a Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery degree (MBBS) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1982.

He received his residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology from the University Teaching Hospital, Jos and became a fellow of the West Africa College of Surgeons (FWACS) in October 1990. He holds a certificate in Health Management from the University of Washington and he is a member of Society of Obstetrician & Gynaecologist of Nigeria (SOGON), International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG). He is a recipient of several awards including an academic merit award from the Federal Government of Nigeria.

He has served in various positions in his career such as Honorary Consultant and Clinical Director at several prestigious institutions.
